#LoveAThon Mini Challenge 5: Letter to Yourself

Click on the banner to find out more about this event!

There are two ways to do this challenge. 1) Write a letter to your younger blogging/writing self: What would you change? What would you keep the same? What are your favorite parts? In what ways has blogging/writing changed you? What advice would you give yourself? Or 2) Write a letter to your future blogging/writing self: What goals do you want to set? What do you want to accomplish with your blog/writing? What do you want to start doing and what do you want to stop doing?

A letter to my younger blogger self

Dear younger me,

Enjoy yourself. Always remember to enjoy yourself. You are blogging for fun and for yourself. Don’t let anyone ruin this for you, especially yourself. Don’t stress out too much and don’t push yourself to post so many things. You will burn out. Just relax. Don’t take more than you can handle, especially on Netgalley. I know there are a lot of temptations in that site, but you’ll be pressured to read and review them. Limit yourself to the ones that you think you would really really like. It’s also okay to not finish a book if you really cannot take it. Life’s too short to waste your time on things that make you unhappy.

Don’t be so intimidated by all the more experienced bloggers. A lot of them are really nice, really awesome, and really sweet. Don’t be afraid to make friends. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Don’t be afraid to initiate a conversation. A lot of authors are really friendly to their fans too so don’t be afraid to talk to them or reach out to them. If they ignore you, it’s okay. If they reply to you, you can secretly fangirl and spazz. They can’t see you anyway.

Go out more. Meet those authors who probably won’t be back in the country again. You will REGRET not going. So always take the chance.

Yours truly,
A more experienced you
